Dre Brown Speed and Agility Academy is a 6 week athletic development program. Athletes will be introduced to speed and agility fundamentals through drills, competition and timed sprints.
Dre Brown has a passion for serving, teaching and coaching young athletes. Brown was born in Decatur, IL and raised in DeKalb, IL. As a young kid Dre played travel soccer, baseball, basketball, track and field, and football.
Dre focused on competing in football, basketball, and track at DeKalb High School earning 9 letters and 2x All-State accolades his junior and senior year in football. Dre went through the recruiting process and was ranked the #1 running back in Illinois, a top 40 running back in the nation, and a 4 star recruit with over 10 Division I scholarship offers.
Brown went on to the University of Illinois on a full ride football scholarship. After overcoming two torn ACLs his freshman and sophomore year, Brown persevered and earned the prestigious 2019 Red Grange Offensive Team MVP. Dre was named third team all conference for the Big Ten by the coaches. Brown helped lead the Illini to their first bowl game since 2014 with wins over Michigan State and Wisconsin. Brown is married to Champaign native and volleyball/personal trainer Lindsay Brown. The two have one puppy, a cockapoo named Eddy, and reside in Monticello, IL.
